During 10 years of civil war from 1996-2006 in Nepal, thousands of children became parentless, homeless and most of the children came to the streets and started to survive to be a beggar and many children abused in different ways. They were bound from basic needs. The government was in the economical, geographical and political restoration. During that time many children related nongovernment organizations (NGOs) established and started to cooperate with the government to work on behalf of abundant children.

In 5th February 2005, I (Founder of AWS Nepal President) was walking one market place called Mangal Bazar, Lalitpur, Nepal, one small boy hold my finger and asked me to take at my home. I just took him and the next day informed to Police station and they allowed me to keep that boy with me. I talked to him in detail and found his parents were killed in the war between the Nepal Army and Maoist. That was a turning point in my life and decided to take care of such children. As a result, I started one organization called “Blessing Children Home” on 1st March 2005. Later we registered this organization in government as the “Alpha Welfare Society Nepal (AWS Nepal)”.
